4th of July!

Always remember to make time for family! This 4th I spent in Boston with my sister, niece, and nephews. Besides the crazy humidity and heat, it was a great day. We got there early in the day to claim really good seats to watch the fire works go off over the Charles river. The best part was about 5 minutes into the show it just started down pouring. Thank god for water proof camera bag covers because we stuck it out and continued to watch as hundreds of people ran for shelter. After a few minutes the rain passed and we got to see the end of a great show and i can’t wait for next year!

Trip into Boston

On Tuesday, June 19, 2012 our Photographic Seeings class took a trip into South Boston and walked around the city making pictures (As David Binder (our professor/photojournalist) had put it). Here are some of the images I took to fit into the very long list of categories we had to take pictures for. I must admit, this was one of the more fun classes because it made you really start to look at things differently.

Pictures for people’s Biographies.

Sorry for the wait, but I’ve been a busy man. So last week everyone in class was getting set up with their own web sites and we have to go out and shoot each other’s pictures for their biographies. Here are some of the shots from it.

P.S. check back soon for some awesome new work from this week.

And just one from behind the scenes of Liz and Daniel reviewing some images. I must admit, we are a rather comical class.

Jay’s ABCs

Here is the Alphabet found in a slightly different style. Finding the letter R was probably the hardest letter of them all. This is a fun way to get you to look at the world a little different so give it a shot yourself and see what you come up with.
