I always love it when friends from New Jersey come up to visit. I enjoy getting to show them around Boston and going out exploring. But most of all I love that I get a free model for a few days! Thanks Alaina for being in front of my camera all weekend! Here are just a few of my favorites.

Sometimes you just need to get out and shoot for yourself. Last week on a rather rainy but warm friday I found myself wanting to just be outside and enjoy the warmer weather even with the on and off rain all day. I ventured down to the Charles River Walk. As I was walking down the path I saw this little opening a few feet off the path of this awesome view of the river where I decided to set my tripod down and make this image.
I recently had the chance to shoot good friends of mine, Dana and Kyle’s engagement session in. We had fun dodging snow and ice patches as we walked around Roosevelt Park in Edison NJ. Although we did luck out on the weather and had a beautiful day after a few cold weeks leading up to the day. I can not wait for their wedding especially because I’m going to this one as a guest but still with my camera. Enjoy the pictures!
Recently I had the opportunity to shoot the very rapidly up and coming EDM artists DUDEnGUY. They came to me and said “Jay we have this crazy idea to shoot us in a room with just total chaos going on.” I said “This sounds awesome lets make it happen!” Then after several months of going back and fourth working out the details we were finally able to bring it all together.
While the room may look like your typical dorm room, almost every detail as a purpose or some meaning to the final image. So take your time while viewing the final image to really take in just how crazy this scene.

Last week we had an awesome engagement session at the Museum of Fine Art in Boston. Our tenacious couple still made it with 8 inches of snow on the ground and more still falling! We were able to get some great shots because not too many others braved the snow for a day at a museum.
But just because the shoot is over, does not mean I stop shooting. I still had my camera on my shoulder regardless of how hard it continued to snow after the shoot and snagged this photo while waiting for the T to take me back to my warm house. It is just a reminder that you never know when that awesome picture will present itself so always be on the look out and have a camera on hand, even if it’s your phone.
